Benefits of Positive Thinking

It's really hard today to find someone who has not ran across the concept of positivity or has not researched a book or two on the course of positivity. Just about every able individual knows about the perks of positive thinking. But how many of us are employing the positive thinking approach in our day to day life consistently?
 

Normally we read a book on positive thinking, get enthusiastic and then after few weeks --most of the time after few days, go back to our usual style of thinking. Why are we not adopting positive thinking as our way of essence? Is this way of thinking very not easy to adopt, or is it that our life and individuals around us are so negative that it is nearly inconceivable for an individual to become positive and remain so?

Really if you think about it, people really do not cling with this positive-thinking thing. Why? Mainly Because of two reasons.

They fail to understand the essence of the inner workings of positive thinking and apply it in a wrong way.

People want over night results and when we do not see any perceptible benefit with in a period of 2 -3 days they loose attentiveness. And slowly their habitual thought pattern comes back.

It is said that Eighty percent of the thoughts of a normal person are not positive. When we start thinking positively we just accommodate a new stream of thought --which is positive-- with all our unpositive thoughts. “I’ll get the raise easily”. This is a conscious thought stream. But in the evening returning home from work we keep thinking negatively and how difficult it is going to be. This unpositive thought comes to our mind compulsorily (unconsciously). We convert this thought with lots of unpositive emotion. And all these happen without our being aware of what we are doing.

To turn loose the full potential of positive thinking we have to arrest and kill negative thought spikes. You can do it! It is not difficult and becomes easier with practice.

Now the inquiry remains how we can get fast results from our positive thinking efforts. The answer to this question is there is no quick way to get results overnight. When used properly positive thinking has the power to do wonders in your life. The best thing to do is get started. After that stay immersed and the results will come.
