By: Vincent Harris Have you ever tried to be something you weren’t? Maybe you’ve made an attempt to be happy when you were feeling less than joyful. The results are usually far from what we were hoping to accomplish. In fact, in the case of emotional states and feelings, trying to feel a certain way will often times send us in the opposite direction. Why is that? Perhaps you can remember when you were a child sitting for your school pictures, and the photographer said to you, “Say cheese.” Why didn’t they simply tell you to smile? You already know the answer; when someone makes a request that you smile, it suddenly becomes difficult. |

By: Tom Straub In order to achieve anything in life, it is important that you know your self worth.

By: Tom Straub It is of utmost importance to your well-being to make sure that you take time for yourself.
Taking time for yourself rejuvenates your spirits and can make you feel refreshed and able to take on any new challenge that comes your way.
When you feel emotionally overdrawn and physically overworked, you have nothing left to give, your reserves are spent and you shut down in many ways: you close yourself off from people, you feel irritable, and other such results. |

By: Candace Czarny Everyone feels down on their luck from time to time. Bad luck can range from the the most minuscule things such as a misplaced sock, to more serious and important aspects of your life, such as job promotions or romantic relationships. Perhaps you give everything your best effort, but nothing seems to turn out quite right. Others seem to have been dealt the best luck possible in life, without ever lifting a finger. These people manage to lead a dream life, with a perfect job, partner, and family. Most individuals do not experience either one of these scenarios, but have normal luck, neither especially bad nor good all the time, but varying between the two extremes. Many people have wished they could improve their luck, and this may be possible with the practice of Feng Shui, which upholds that luck is the outcome of a few different components. Feng Shui and luck can work together to bring simple and immediate benefits to your life. |

By: Roy E. Klienwachter All events occur at the right time and place. It is no accident you were born in this time. It is perfect that you are here now and this is the best time in space for you.
I know there are not many who would see it that way. Most of us are heavily involved in our physical lives to see the significance of our own existence. Nothing in the universe happens by chance or by luck or lack of it. You are here now because it is appropriate at this moment. |

By: Roy E. Klienwachter As one seeking spiritual enlightenment, you will try many ways to find or align your awareness to your true self. There is a way, a small experiment that you can do now to sense the awareness of what you are seeking.
Often writers and teachers will tell you that what you are, is already within you. They will call it spirit, soul, God, true self and many other things. The truth is, these things are not in you because it would create a duality-there would be you and it. |

By: Ken Snowie There are many fundamentals in life, things that we need to make our lives work well for us. Time management is one of those fundamentals. Without it, it is difficult to get anything done, or have time to enjoy anything in life. There are also no guarantees in life. It’s nearly impossible to know exactly what will happen tomorrow, we can only plan to a certain extent. Planning is an essential element in time management; still plans have the ability to change. This is why prioritizing the things you need to accomplish is important, and completing what you can in a manageable time frame crucial. Finishing one task paves the way to completing the next one. You can begin by taking notes and making lists, in order to sort through your tasks to be completed. |

By: John Furnem Time management is the most important asset one can have these days, with the collapse of traditional values any person can find himself running a few, parallel different lives all at once. I am sure you are not a stranger to this situation, you have too much you need to do, you do not have the time, and you see all your leisure time fade away as you calculate how will you manage to do all these things you must.
Not only do most people know this situation, most people know about time management, but fail to understand it correctly and most importantly, fail to comprehend the basic concepts of time management and implement them in their very busy lives. |

By: Paul Lemberg It's a cliche of executive life: you don't have time to do everything. Whether you use little slips of paper, a planner, scheduling software or a Palm Pilot, all attempts at time management fail. Rather than throwing in the towel, I suggest that you need a new frame of reference. Change your focus from time management to priority management. |

By: Jim Estill I think that most people would agree that the people who have goals are more successful than those who do not have any.
I often talk about leadership and management. Leadership is about doing the right things while management is about doing things right. Often when we study time management, we study efficiency (doing things right) and make the assumption that we have the effectiveness (leadership) solved. |

By: Patsi Krakoff, Psy. D. Yuck, it's that time again, newsletter time. Are you stuck in front of a blank page or computer screen? Do you struggle each time you have to write? People seem to find all other tasks preferable to writing an article. We have a friend who finds himself washing out socks instead of writing. There's a term for it: "shaving the yak."
Originally coined by Seth Godin, marketer and author extraordinaire, "shaving the yak" means that when faced with writing, some people find themselves doing any other chore they can think of, eventually finding themselves down at the zoo, shaving yaks.

By: Janice Ferrante Speaking as a time management junkie... someone who has become obsessed through necessity and habit, with wringing "something" out of every spare minute... oops, did I say spare minute? I don't have any of those since I became a time management junkie, I meant to say obsessed with wringing something out of every minute.
Anyway, since I have become obsessed I have made an important observation. I am stress free and at my most successful when I give myself permission to take the time to do things that are important, and even more successful when I allow myself the time to do them right. |
